Leaving La Push, we headed eastbound on 101 toward Sequim, WA. While it isn’t always feasible to pull off for impromptu photos while towing the 23′ travel trailer, Lake Crescent both allowed for this and beckoned to have its serene surface captured. Had we begun this adventure a little sooner, we’d have preferred to spend some extra time here. Instead, it was a quick but memorable detour.
For as long as I can remember, water has been the thing that grounds me. Oceans, lakes, rivers, waterfalls….they all hold the ability to encourage us to reflect on the past, linger in the present, or contemplate the future. Of course, you can do each of those things without the presence of water, just not as effectively (in my humble opinion). And, since Mike tends to be drawn to coastlines just as strongly as I do, I suspect we’re kindred souls on that matter.
We began our adventure headed roughly East-ish. Anyone taking bets on where we’ll land, given the new information above?
